Classes Offered

Ballet/Tap/Jazz

Students explore the basics of three distinct dance styles: ballet, tap, and jazz. Ballet introduces them to graceful movements, proper posture, and classical techniques. Tap focuses on rhythm and coordination through footwork, creating musical patterns. Jazz incorporates energetic and dynamic movements, combining elements of both ballet and contemporary dance.

Acrobatics/Tumbling

Students develop strength, flexibility, and balance while learning acrobatic moves such as cartwheels, handstands, and walkovers. Tumbling techniques like rolls, flips, and somersaults are taught progressively, ensuring safety and skill advancement. Through guided practice, students gain confidence in executing both individual acrobatic tricks and fluid sequences.

Ballet

Students learn proper body alignment, graceful movements, and positions of the arms and feet. They develop a strong sense of discipline, posture, and flexibility. Ballet emphasizes precision, control, and poise, while also teaching students how to convey emotions through expressive movements. Dancers practice at the barre, in the center, and across the floor, gradually building a solid ballet vocabulary.

Classes concentrate on mastering various contortion and balance skills. Students enhance their flexibility, core strength, and body awareness through exercises like splits, bridges, and handstands. As they progress, they tackle more advanced skills such as backbends, aerials, and handsprings. Safety and proper technique are prioritized, ensuring that students gradually build the strength and control needed to execute impressive acrobatic maneuvers.

Acrobatics

Classes encompass energetic and dynamic movements inspired by popular music and theatrical performances. Dancers learn a wide range of steps including leaps, turns, and isolations, along with syncopated rhythms and intricate footwork. The class promotes individuality and self-expression, encouraging students to add their personal flair to choreography. Jazz combines technique with style, fostering creativity and versatility in dancers.

Jazz

Students are introduced to the urban dance style characterized by its high-energy movements and rhythm-driven choreography. Dancers learn popping, locking, breaking, and other foundational hip hop moves. They practice coordination, musicality, and freestyle dance, developing confidence in expressing themselves through fluid body motions. Hip hop culture and history may also be explored to provide a well-rounded understanding of the style.

Hip Hop

Classes blend elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance. Students explore creative movements that emphasize fluidity, expression, and storytelling. Choreography often involves exploring emotions and concepts through unique body shapes, floor work, and partnering. Contemporary dancers learn to connect their movements with feelings, creating visually captivating performances that convey a deeper message.

Lyrical/Contemporary

Students are taught the foundations of this urban dance style, also known as b-boying or b-girling. Students learn moves such as toprocks, footwork, freezes, and power moves. These classes emphasize strength, agility, and rhythm as dancers develop their personal style within the breakdance framework.
